September 7th, 2021

For the past 5 years, Jett Foundation has hosted this annual event of celebration and remembrance in the Boston area, the epicenter for rare disease research.

In recognition of this annual worldwide day dedicated to Duchenne muscular dystrophy, we bring local patients and families, Duchenne experts, and industry partners together under one roof to celebrate advances made in Duchenne research, and to acknowledge the challenges still to come.

Our 2021 WDAD celebration will take place in the homes of our families, clinicians, advocates and industry partners everywhere, showing we are united against Duchenne. The celebration will include a series of

at-home activities and online live and recorded activities, delivered in a special WDAD Party Box filled with festive items and decor. Participants will have the opportunity

to join the day’s scheduled events or participate on their own time.

Levi and his family will be spreading awareness on September 7th!  Follow Levi on his FB page to see what he is up to for WDAD.

FUN FACT!  The Duchenne gene

or dystrophin gene has 79 exons.

So WDAD is always on the 7th day of the 9th month, or September 7th!
